Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry

Dr. Attia is a distinguished psychiatrist with a rich educational background and extensive clinical experience. She earned her undergraduate Bachelors Degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey before pursuing her medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry-New Jersey Medical School. Driven by a passion for mental health, she completed her residency training in Adult Psychiatry at St. Vincent’s Hospital and St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. Subsequently, she honed her expertise through a subspecialty fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center.

Throughout her career, Dr. Attia has had the privilege of training under top clinicians and physicians in the field of psychiatry. She is recognized as a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, holding double board certifications in Adult/General Psychiatry as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

A committed member of various professional organizations, Dr. Attia is affiliated with the American Psychiatric Association, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Washington Psychiatric Society, and the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Society of Greater Washington. She holds licenses to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia and New Jersey.

Dr. Attia’s diverse experience includes serving patients in inpatient and acute care psychiatric hospitals, intensive outpatient and partial hospital settings, as well as outpatient community mental health offices. Currently, she provides dedicated care to her patients at her private practice in Falls Church, VA. Dr. Attia is deeply committed to advancing mental health care and remains at the forefront of her field, ensuring that her patients receive the highest quality, compassionate, and comprehensive psychiatric care available.
